I rode Minatomirai Line for my previous pilgrimage article for Bungou Stray Dogs where most of the major locations were located. In this trip, I rode JR Negishi Line to get to some of the minor locations of the series.
The first time I did a pilgrimage for Bungou Stray Dogs, it was only a casual pilgrimage with a friend with only a faint memory from the first season. My friend had already followed to the latest updates of the series therefore I can't keep up the excitement similar as hers when walking around the Yokohama. But due to that walk, I gave myself a chance to watch the anime and viola, it became my most favorite series of all time.
I have revisited to Yokohama several times only for exploration but my revisit this time, I covered all the important and known locations from Season 1 to the latest (including the movie and ova). Since this is quite an in-depth pilgrimage, the article will get updated for three parts: locations along Minatomirai Line where most of the important locations were, and the locations along JR Negishi Line and outside Yokohama which will be posted anytime soon.
There will be instances where the anime setting isn't exactly looked like on the actual location due to lack of aesthetic or has a need to fit in on a certain scene. As for Bungou Stray Dogs, some of its settings were based from multiple sites around Yokohama or even outside the main stage. After a thorough research and multiple visits, I was able to breakdown the model on each of the notable locations from the series.
*All of the screenshots were taken from Google Maps.
*Since this is an ongoing research, the article will get updated from time to time.
revisited article on this link.
Yokohama is currently the city outside Tokyo I kept on visiting every month. It isn't as bustling a Tokyo so it is a good place to relax and walk around. It is also the home of one of the anime I am currently fond of which is the Bungou Stray Dogs.
*aiming to list the complete locations featured in the anime. This will get updated from time to time.
